BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The number of transactions conducted through debit and credit cards in Azerbaijan reached over 171.1 million in February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this figure is an increase of 40.9 million transactions, or 31.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2024 (130.2 million).
The data also shows that over 14 million transactions were made for cash withdrawals, while 111.2 million transactions were for cashless payments.
Additionally, the volume of transactions conducted using debit cards in February of this year amounted to 10.2 billion manat ($6 billion), while the volume of transactions made using credit cards totaled 795 million manat ($467.6 billion).
