BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The volume of transactions conducted through debit and credit cards in Azerbaijan amounted to 11 billion manat ($6.4 billion) in February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows this figure's increase by 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) or 18.7 percent compared to the same period last year (9.2 billion manat or $5.4 billion).
Of this, 3.58 billion manat ($2.1 billion) was related to cash withdrawals and 7.1 billion manat ($4.2 billion) to cashless payments.
To note, in February of this year, the number of transactions conducted with credit cards was 12.5 million, while the number of transactions with debit cards reached a whopping 158.7 million.
