TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 30. Uzbekistan Airways is set to spread its wings with the addition of two shiny new Airbus A321neo aircraft, crafted to ensure passengers travel in the lap of luxury while boosting operational efficiency as part of its modernization journey, Trend reports, citing the airline.
The aircraft is slated for delivery in 2026 pursuant to a leasing arrangement executed with the Chinese entity CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings), which has been engaged in collaborative operations with Uzbekistan Airways since 2023. The agreement highlights the flagship airline's strategic initiatives to enhance its competitive positioning within the international aviation landscape.
Each aircraft will feature 16 business class seats that can convert into fully flat beds and 156 economy class seats, all designed according to the Airspace Premium standard. This includes improved soundproofing, ambient lighting, enhanced cabin space, and large overhead luggage bins.
Passengers will have access to onboard Wi-Fi and individual entertainment systems, offering movies, music, games, and interactive flight maps. The A321neo model is also known for its fuel efficiency, low noise levels, and extended flight range, making it suitable for both regional and long-haul routes.
The new aircraft will play a key role in expanding the airline’s international network while improving service quality and sustainability.
