BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. The number of issued Visa debit cards in Georgia reached over 2.837 million in July 2025, marking the highest monthly total this year, according to data from the National Bank of Georgia obtained by Trend.
This represents a 1.7% increase from June (over 2.79 million) and a 5.9% rise compared to May (over 2.678 million).
Meanwhile, the lowest monthly issuance in 2025 was recorded in April, with over 2.635 million cards.
Overall, total debit card issuance in Georgia reached 10.224 million in July, while combined credit and debit cards exceeded 10.8 million.
In 2024, the country issued more than 117.38 million cards in total.
