BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. The number of issued Visa credit payment cards in Georgia rose to 299,481 in July 2025, marking the highest level this year, according to data from the National Bank of Georgia obtained by Trend.
The figure represents a 1.2 percent increase from June (296,025) and a 3.1 percent rise compared to May (290,410).
Since the start of 2025, Visa credit card issuance has grown by 8 percent from its lowest point in January, when 277,246 cards were in circulation.
Overall, the total number of issued credit payment cards in Georgia stood at 761,484 in July. Including both credit and debit cards, total issuance across the country surpassed 10.8 million.
The National Bank of Georgia reported that more than 117.38 million cards were issued nationwide in 2024.
