The trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan has reached to $2.4 billion so far and it's expected to increase to $5 billion by the end of current solar year (started on March 20, 2011), IRNA reported quoting Director-General of the Europe- America Trade Development Organization of Iran Abdol- Hamid Assadian as saying.
"Considering potentials, there is a possibility to increase trade between Tehran and Ashgabat up to $10 billion," he said.
He noted the recent five agreements signed between Qatar, Oman, Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are a big step on bilateral trade between two countries.
The government and foreign ministries of Iran and Turkmenistan are attempting to accelerate future business cooperation.
