BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 16. Iran imported 220,000 tons of goods approximately $545 million from Germany, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports.
As indicated in the report of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s imports from Germany for the reporting period increased by 19.5 percent in value, while decreasing by 15.3 percent compared to the same period in the last year.
So, Iran imported 260,000 tons of goods worth approximately $456 million from Germany in the same period last year.
Iran mainly imported various types of petrochemical products, industrial products, equipment and spare parts, generators, etc. from Germany within 3 months.
In the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2023), Iran’s imports from Germany stood at 139,000 tons worth approximately $254 million.
Overall, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
