Uzbekneftegaz ups net profit by 1.6 times in 2010

The net profit of the National Holding Company "Uzbekneftegaz" in 2010 was 27.2 billion soums compared to 16.8 billion soums the previous year (increased by 1.6 times), the company said.

Uzbekneftegaz is the monopoly operator of the Uzbek oil and gas complex.

According to the report, the company's income from its activity increased by 47.8 percent up to 10.76 billion soums. The expenses increased by 25.6 percent up to 8.38 billion soums.

The income from financial operations amounted to 50.676 billion soums, increasing by 53.1 percent and expenditures - 25.094 billion soums, or 49.1 percent more than in 2009.

The company's assets increased by 20.3 percent up to 1.274 trillion soums. The long-term assets increased by 49.6 percent up to 804.85 billion soums. The current assets decreased by 0 percent - up to 468.93 billion soums.

The liabilities increased by 5.6 percent - up to 715.66 billion soums. The amount of long-term liabilities decreased by 16.8 percent up to 153.587 billion soums. The current liabilities amounted to 562.075 billion soums in 2010 compared to 493 billion soums (increased by 14 percent)

Uzbekneftegaz's own funds increased by 46.3 percent up to 558.116 billion soums last year taking into account the authorized capital worth 253.68 billion soums.

"Uzbekneftegaz" was established in 1998.

According to the official statistics, "Uzbekneftegaz" reduced the production of liquid hydrocarbons - oil and gas condensate by 17.9 percent up to 3.662 million tonn compared to 2009. In particular, gas condensate decreased by 22.5 percent up to 1.644 million tons, oil - by 13.5 percent up to 2.018 million tons.

Natural gas production reduced by 2.1 percent up to 60.112 billion cubic meters.

Petrol production reduced by 10.9 percent up to 1.444 million tons, kerosene - by 12.5 percent up to 372,800 tons, diesel fuel - by 13.6 percent up to 1.125 million tons, fuel oil - 34.4 percent up to 320,700 tons, liquefied hydrocarbon gas - by 0.2 percent up to 245,700 tons, bitumen - by 18.2 percent up to 198,100 tons.

The official exchange rate is 1.727 soums per $1.
