Kazakh KazTransOil sharply ups net income in first half of 2013

Kazakh KazTransOil increased non-consolidated net income by 152 percent to 33.393 billion tenge (152.54 tenge = $1) in the first half of 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, the company reported.

The target for this period was exceeded by 61 percent.

Consolidated revenues of KazTransOil group of companies increased by 39.9 percent to 92.864 billion tenge in the reporting period (10.9 percent over the target).

The consolidated net income of KazTransOil group of companies increased by 139 percent to 40.437 billion tenge (59.7 percent over the target).

KazTransOil's non-consolidated revenues from core activity increased by 44 percent in the first half of 2013 and hit 82.375 billion. The target for revenues from core activity for this period was exceeded by 10 percent.

KazTransOil is the largest Kazakh oil transporting company owning the largest network of main oil pipelines and waterlines in Kazakhstan. Total length of oil pipelines amounts to 5,495 km, water pipelines - 2,148 km.

The company holds shares and participates in "Kazakhstan-China Pipeline" and "MunaiTas" companies. Moreover it holds "Batumi Oil Terminal" (Georgia) through "Batumi Industrial Holdings Limited" and "Batumi Capital Partners Limited", which operates oil terminal in Batumi Sea port in Georgia.
