BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 9. The fundamental principles of patent regulation remain unchanged, President of the Eurasian Patent Office, Grigory Ivliev said at the international conference "Artificial Intelligence and Patents," Trend reports.
According to him, in addition to patent examination of technical solutions, today's conference will also address the application of artificial intelligence tools at the Intellectual Property Agency.
Ivliev emphasized that there is no need to be wary of artificial intelligence.
"Although intellectual property regulation began in the late 19th century, the fundamental principles of patent regulation remain unchanged. We must be able to apply new approaches and technological developments in the patent sphere.
The World Intellectual Property Organization is using artificial intelligence to modernize the patenting process for technical solutions, and a number of patents are being successfully applied. We are implementing important IT projects together with the Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan aimed at developing modern technologies," he added.
