ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 18. Representatives of the aviation structures of Turkmenistan and Japan held a meeting in Tokyo, during which they discussed the establishment of direct flights between the two countries, Trend reports.
According to the information of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, following the results of this meeting, the parties signed a corresponding package of documents.
The talks took place within the framework of the visit of the economic delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdi Jepbarov to Tokyo, held from December 13 through 16 this year.
During the visit, representatives of the Turkmen delegation held a number of key events, including joint meetings with members of the Japanese-Turkmen Committees for Economic Cooperation, bilateral talks with heads of Japanese government agencies, organizations and financial institutions, as well as leading Japanese companies.
The Turkmen delegation also discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements and new opportunities for the development of cooperation in the energy sector and on the way to carbon neutrality.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan and Japan are strengthening their diplomatic and economic relations, striving for mutual benefit and sustainable development.
Both countries actively cooperate in the fields of energy, infrastructure projects and technological innovations.
