BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Remittance flows from Russia to Kyrgyzstan increased in August 2022,Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the bank, the volume of money transfers from Russia to Kyrgyzstan in August 2022 increased by 11.1 percent compared to July ($259 million) - up to $287.8 million.
The total amount of money sent from abroad to Kyrgyzstan in August this year reached $301.6 million.
At the same time, the remittance flows from Kyrgyzstan to Russia in the reporting month amounted to $120.6 million, which is an increase of 10 percent over July 2022 ($109.6 million).
Overall, the total volume of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan from January through August 2022 amounted to $1.9 billion.
