BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Kyrgyzstan increased mineral extraction from January through September 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, the total value of Kyrgyzstan's mineral extraction in 9 months amounted to 33.1 billion soms ($398.1 million), which is an increase of 13.7 percent over the same period in 2021 - 29.1 billion soms ($350.3 million).
During the reporting period, crude oil and natural gas production in Kyrgyzstan reached 7.2 billion soms ($87.3 million).
In addition, the mining of metal ores from January through September 2022 reached 21.8 billion soms ($262 million), meanwhile, the coal and lignite extraction totaled 3.5 billion soms ($42.2 million).
As of October 13, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, is 83,33KGS/USD.
