TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 16. BYD Uzbekistan Factory (a joint venture with China) has signed agreements with Chinese partners for the production of new BYD car models, Trend reports.
According to UzAuto Motors (a production enterprise and sales network for Chevrolet cars and ultra-small vans in Uzbekistan), the new BYD Seagull and E2 car models are presented by the partners for possible production, the first samples of which are already being tested in laboratories.
For certification tests BYD Seagull and E2 models were transferred to the Quality and Safety Testing complex of testing laboratories at UzTest State Institution.
The tests are conducted on the basis of the requirements of the General Technical Regulations and include testing of electromagnetic compatibility, braking system efficiency, internal and external noise level, heating and cooling systems, controllability and stability, lighting system and many other indicators.
In addition, together with the Agency for Technical Regulation, new standards are being developed for cars offered on the Uzbek market. These standards cover service and warranty conditions, compliance with international environmental standards, safety requirements, as well as safe recycling and utilization of car batteries on new energy sources.
Earlier, the BYD Uzbekistan Factory has produced its first electric cars in the Jizzakh region. Currently, the factory manufactures the Chazor and Song Plus Champion models.
