TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 9. Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover volume with Kyrgyzstan amounted to $437.1 million from January through July 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has decreased by 42.5 percent year-on-year ($623.2 million in January–July 2023).
Kyrgyzstan ranked twelfth among the countries with the largest volume of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan.
The volume of exports to Kyrgyzstan from Uzbekistan amounted to $294 million, which shows a 57.7 percent decline compared to the same period last year ($463.7 million in January–July 2023).
Uzbekistan’s imports from Kyrgyzstan reached $143 million from January through July 2024. This indicator has decreased by 11.5 percent year-on-year ($159.5 million in January–July 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This figure has increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year ($34.9 billion in January-July 2023).
The country's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled $22 billion.
