TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 21. The output of Uzbekistan's metallurgical industry totaled 106.8 trillion som ($8.3 billion) from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency showed that this figure increased by 34.8 percent year-on-year (79.2 trillion som or $6.2 billion from January through August 2023).
The share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 25.4 percent.
However, the volume of other non-metallic products reached 20.7 trillion som ($1.6 billion) in the mentioned period. Compared to the same period last year, this volume increased by 25.4 percent (16.5 trillion som, or $1.2 billion from January through August 2023).
The share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.9 percent.
