Non-oil exports of Iran’s Markazi Province increase

This Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), 757,000 tons of non-oil products worth $520 million have been exported from Iran’s Markazi Province, which is 12 percent more than in the same period last year, Deputy Head of Markazi Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization for Foreign Trade Development Affairs Jafar Asghari said, IRNA reported.

The average price per ton of products exported from the province was $683. Various petrochemical products, aluminum ingots, brooches, glass, polyester fiber, iron, casting products, ceramics, rubber products and carpets have been exported from Markazi Province this year.

He added that products from this province were exported to 65 countries, noting that Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq and Pakistan were the main importers.

The products were exported by 220 manufacturers, he said.

“This year, more than 74,000 tons of products worth $173 million have been imported from 47 countries to the province,” he noted. “The main exporters were China, the UAE, Italy, Germany and Turkey.”
