Chief of Gobustan Prison Kazim Abdullayev was released upon the order by the Chief Azerbaijani Justice Ministry's Penitentiary Service Madat Guliyev in connection with service investigation, in the Department of Public Relations of the Prison Service.
The duties of the chief of Gobustan prison were temporarily entrusted on the chief the prison N 7 Shahin Osmanov.
Whether Abdullayev will remain on his previous post will depend on the results of the investigation.
The reason for initiating an investigation of Abdullayev was the media reports about ongoing events in the Gobustan prison.
