Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze believes the time has come for the Council of Europe (CE) to protect its own prestige and to force Russia to to fulfill the CE resolution. Bakradze made the statement at a meeting with PACE Monitoring Committee Co-Rapporteur Matias Yorsh.
He said at the meeting the sides discussed Moscow's failure to meet its CE obligations.
"The fact is that Georgia is fulfilling its obligations, and Russia is not. The time has come for the CE to protect its prestige and to force Russia to fulfill its obligations," Bakradze said.
After the meeting, Yorsh refused to comment to journalists.
