Azeri First Vice President Received Representatives of Center for European Security Research

On November 1, the first Vice Speaker of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament] Ziyafet Askerov received the representatives of the Center for European Security Research Merjin Khartog and Erik Sporteli, who are in Baku on a visit. The Vice Speaker mentioned the interest of Azerbaijan in integration to Euro-Atlantic block, Trend reports.

Talking about the relations of Azerbaijan and NATO, Askerov said that Azerbaijan has exceeded the countries of South Caucasus for participation in the events organized by the NATO. In addition, he presented information about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and aggressive policy of Armenia. He emphasized that Armenia ignores to implement the U.N. Resolutions regarding Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Askerov stressed that this issue will be discussed in the fall session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Canada.

Khartog noted that he will hold a series of trainings in Azerbaijan.
