Azerbaijan estimates customs revenues to state budget

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan from the State Customs Committee (SCC) increased by 5.75 percent from January through June 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the SCC, revenues exceeded 3.2 billion manat ($1.8 billion) in the reporting period.

Furthermore, revenues from customs duties to the state budget in the reporting period of 2024 increased by 43.47 percent (334.1 million manat ($196.4 million)) compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($646 million).

However, revenues from VAT in the reporting period amounted to 2.03 billion manat ($1.19 billion) (6.9 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023), from excise tax - 95.4 million manat ($56 million) (1.97 percent decrease), and from road tax - 18.5 million manat ($10.8 million) (19.51 percent decrease).

To note, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan from SCC in 2023 increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022, up to 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion).
