BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 5. Under the conditions of the formalization of salaried employment and the wage fund, mandatory state social insurance contributions in Azerbaijan amounted to nearly 2.57 billion manat ($1.5 billion) from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy indicates that contributions from this source increased by 12.3 percent or 283.2 million manat ($166.5 million) compared to the same period of the previous year.
The data noted that the contributions from non-budgetary organizations increased by 13.3 percent compared to the same period of 2024 and amounted to 1.71 billion manat ($1 billion) .
Moreover, unemployment insurance contributions increased by 10.7 percent compared to the same period last year and reached 91.9 million manat ($54 million). Contributions from non-budgetary organizations rose by 11.9 percent and totaled nearly 70.3 million manat ($41.3 million).
Compulsory health insurance contributions increased by 11.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached up to 448.6 million manat ($263.8 million). Contributions from non-budgetary organizations in this area rose by 10.5 percent and exceeded 316.5 million manat ($186.1 million).
