Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA) intends to assist leasing companies in the development of micro-leasing products, AMFA executive director Jala Hajiyeva said on Tuesday.
"At present, the association's members are 27 organizations. Last month, two new members - companies Qafqaz Leasing and Finans Leasing, interested in the development of micro-leasing product joined us," Hajiyeva said.
She said such products will be in demand, because today the terms of leasing services are not different from lending terms, though, as other countries' practice show they should be more profitable.
"We will cooperate with the International Finance Corporation in the development of micro-credit products to assist the leasing companies, which want to work in this sector," she said.
At present, leasing services in the country are provided by state leasing company "AqroLizinq" and 22 private leasing companies and banks rendering leasing services.
