The volume of non-bank deposits in the Georgian banking sector, as of February 1, amounted to 6.8 billion lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari), or 7.3 million lari, or 0.1 percent more than as of January 1, the Georgian National Bank told Trend on Wednesday.
A decrease in call deposits was observed by 61.8 million or 2.1 percent in January, compared to the previous month, urgent deposits by 4.5 million, or 0.1 percent.
The dollarization coefficient in total non-bank deposits by February 1, was 59 percent, or 1.0 percent less than on January 1.
The average interest rate on urgent deposits was 8.6 percent, including deposits in national currency - 11.8 percent, while deposits in foreign currency - 8.1 percent.
The dollar's share in the foreign currency deposits amounted to 74.0 percent, while the euro's reached 21.5 percent.
