Azerbaijani national water operator Azersu signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian company Waterworks of Budapest Plc. on Wednesday.
Azersu chairman Korkmaz Huseynov believes that Azerbaijani and Hungarian water operators have great potential for cooperation.
"The scope of projects on water supply and sewerage system reconstruction in Azerbaijan will further expand and we intend to continue cooperation with Waterworks of Budapest Plc. which has great experience in this field," Huseynov said. Azersu specialists attended the Hungarian company to become familiar with its work."
"Waterworks of Budapest Plc." director general Csaba Haranghy said that his company has rich experience in creating the control systems and the construction of modern reservoirs.
"We are closely watching the projects implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of improving the water supply and sewerage system," Haranghy said. "The process of implementing the large projects has started during the short period of time. There are broad prospects for cooperation in this area."
"Waterworks of Budapest Plc." company will attend the Caspian International Exhibition on Water Technologies in Baku on April 11-13.
