BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Turkmenistan plays an important role in the global energy transition, the Senior Vice President for International Business, Gas, and LNG of ADNOC Abdulla Alshamsi said at the plenary session “The Latest Trends in the Global Energy Markets and Prospects for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” at the international conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2024” in Ashgabat, Trend reports.
“This forum is a great opportunity to strengthen our relations with Turkmenistan. The country has unique advantages - vast energy resources, strategic location, and strong ties with its neighbors. All this makes Turkmenistan a key player in the global energy transition,” Alshamsi emphasized.
He noted that proper management of natural gas can help create wealth and jobs, stimulate economic growth, and benefit society.
“Natural gas is a fuel with a low carbon footprint that plays an important role in reducing CO2 emissions while providing stable, affordable, and secure energy for the growing population and economic development,” he added.
To note, the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2024 (OGT 2024) forum is an international platform that brings together leading national and international oil and gas companies, as well as industry experts and financial institutions. The major objective of the event is to strengthen the dialog on sustainable development of the energy sector and attract investments into the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan. The forum will discuss the prospects of field development, modernization of processing facilities, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies and environmental aspects of hydrocarbon production.
