ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 21. According to recent data from the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK), 57.4 billion tenge (approximately $109.1 million) were transferred abroad from Kazakhstan in April 2025, Trend reports, citing the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Based on the data analytics, the primary beneficiary nations were:
Russia – 18.1 billion tenge (around $34.4 million, 31.6 percent of the total),
Uzbekistan – 17.1 billion tenge (around $32.5 million, 29.9 percent),
Türkiye – 10.5 billion tenge (around $19.95 million, 18.3 percent).
Collectively, these three nations accounted for approximately 80
percent of the total remittances dispatched from Kazakhstan. There
was also significant transactional movement to Georgia, Kyrgyzstan,
China, and Azerbaijan.
The Russian Federation persists as a pivotal locus for economic and
labor interconnections, whereas the Republic of Uzbekistan stands
out as the foremost beneficiary of remittances, indicative of the
elevated employment metrics of Uzbek nationals within the
Kazakhstani labor market.
