BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 5. Kyrgyzstan's GDP per capita is projected to be around $2,500 by the end of 2024, said Akylbek Japarov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the annual National Forum on "Human Capital and Sustainable Development," Trend reports.

"The country's budget has tripled over the past three years, growing from 247.7 billion soms ($2.8 billion) in 2020 to over 660 billion soms ($7.6 billion) in 2024," Japarov added.

He emphasized that the true wealth and potential to elevate Kyrgyzstan to new heights lie in its human capital, embedded in the nation's diverse population.

"We believe that investments in education, healthcare, and social welfare are the most effective investments that lay the foundation for a strong and prosperous nation of tomorrow. Today's forum is an invitation for government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and our international partners to engage in dialogue on how we can build a Kyrgyzstan that ensures everyone has the opportunity to live, learn, and work with dignity in a stable and peaceful environment," he added.

In 2023, Kyrgyzstan's GDP exceeded historical milestones, surpassing 1.2 trillion soms (approximately $13.7 billion), with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.2 percent. By the end of the year, the GDP per capita in Kyrgyzstan reached $1,969.
