DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 2. A total of 152,067 passengers were served at Tajikistan's Kulob International Airport from January through June 2023, the Deputy CEO of the airport, Samandar Kamishev, said, Trend reports.
According to him, this figure is 2,745 more passengers than in the same period of the previous year.
Overall, Kulob International Airport successfully executed 484 flights in the first half of 2023, a substantial increase of 18 flights compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Furthermore, the airport's aviation security personnel identified and apprehended 116 individuals involved in disrupting public order and violating security protocols. Legal proceedings have been initiated against 81 of the offenders, and cases involving 15 others have been handed over to the local police department. The remaining individuals were engaged in preventive counseling to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
