DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 4. "MegaFon Tajikistan" telecommunications company launched over 100 equipment sites and more than 500 base stations of various standards in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the company's data, the majority of the new stations support 4G/LTE technology. Over the year, data transmission traffic on the "MegaFon Tajikistan" network has increased by 35 percent.
It was noted that one of the significant projects for 'MegaFon Tajikistan' in 2023 was the launch of the new PS Core. This development led to an increase in the equipment's throughput capacity by more than 30 percent, positively impacting the quality and accessibility of mobile internet across the country.
According to Rafil Aglyamov, the technical director of "MegaFon Tajikistan," 2023 has been one of the most productive years in the company's history. The total number of sites, each capable of accommodating several base stations, has grown by 7 percent.
He emphasized that the company has no intention to slow down. In 2024, the volume of technical work will remain just as substantial.
