ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 21. Turkmengaz State Concern and Turkmengeology State Corporation are taking practical measures to increase hydrocarbon production and develop new oil and gas fields in the country, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reporting to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Trend reports.
“Following the plan of exploration and drilling of production and appraisal wells, it is envisaged to drill exploration wells at the sites of Ahal, Lebap, and Mary regions,” he noted.
Amanov also mentioned that as a result of drilling works in the field of Lebap province, a commercial gas inflow was obtained, which will significantly increase the production of “blue” fuel.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of extra oil and natural gas production for the country and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep the work in this direction the focus of attention.
