Uzbekistan reports its first-half 2024 cash receipts volume

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 15. The total volume of cash receipts in Uzbekistan reached 385 trillion soums ($30.4 billion) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, this figure indicates a 30 percent growth compared to the same period in 2023 (295 trillion soums, or $23.3 billion in January–June 2023).

The share of terminal receipts in total cash receipts amounted to 41 percent, while the share of cash inflow reached 59 percent.

In particular, the total volume of terminal receipts amounted to 157.8 trillion soums ($12.4 billion), which is 40.7 percent more year-on-year (112.1 trillion soums, or $8.8 billion in January–June 2023).

At the same time, the cash inflow volume in Uzbekistan reached 227.1 trillion soums ($17.9 billion) from January through June 2024. This figure has increased by 24.1 percent compared to the same period last year (182.9 trillion soums, or $14.4 billion in January–June 2023).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves totaled $36.3 billion in June 2024. This indicator has decreased by 0.82 percent over the month ($36.6 billion in May 2024).
