Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 February / Two Azerbaijani villages will be re-named. On 6 February, the meeting of the Azerbaijani Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Regional Affairs discussed re-naming of the Aydin Gun village in the Salyan region and the Kirovkand village in the Ujar region.
According to Arif Rahimzade, the chair of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Regional Affairs, the residents, municipality and the Administration of the Aydin Gun village applied to the Parliament to re-name the village as Yeni Ulukhanli. Also the residents, municipality and Administration of the Kirovkand asked to re-name the village as Anvar Mammadkhanli.
The Commission approved of re-naming both the villages and decided to put this issue for consideration at the Parliament.
