Azerbaijani duo Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal's victory (Ell / Nikki) with the song "Running Scared" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 is also a victory of the Turkish people, Azerbaijani-Turkish Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Head Mustafa Kabakci told Trend on Sunday.
"At present, I meet with different people, and everyone in Turkey takes this victory as his own," Kabakci said.
He said although Turkey's representatives could not reach the final, the Turkish people are very glad about Azerbaijan's victory. "A very important factor is that the Turkish flag waved on the stage along with the Azerbaijani flag," Kabakci said.

The duo received 8 points from Austria, Cyprus, Iceland, Poland, Georgia, Albania, Portugal, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Estonia.
