BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. The average monthly nominal wages of employees in Baku increased by 11.5 percent and amounted to 921.9 manat ($542.3) from January through June 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the Baku City Statistics Department, wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,621.8 manat ($2,130.5), and in the non-oil and gas sector - 870.3 manat ($488.4). The average monthly nominal wages of employees in Baku amounted to 883 manat ($519.4), and of private enterprises - 964.6 manat ($567.4).
According to the ministry, the highest salary is recorded among workers in the mining sector, insurance and finance, information, communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
