BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Azerbaijan exported cotton worth around $11.6 million, amounting to around 7,200 tons, in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that this represents a decrease of $787,000, or 6.4 percent, in value and a drop of roughly 478 tons, or 6.2 percent, in volume compared to the same period in 2024.
The country's total foreign trade turnover for January reached about $5.9 billion, marking a substantial increase of $2.1 billion, or 70.5 percent, compared to last year’s figures.
Additionally, non-oil exports from Azerbaijan totaled $228.4 million, with over 371,700 tons shipped abroad, representing an increase of approximately $24.8 million, or 12.2 percent, compared to January 2024.
