BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Azerbaijan totally imported 10.7 million kWh of electricity in January of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates
that the expenditure associated with the procurement of this
quantum of electrical energy amounted to $290,000.
In a year-over-year analysis, the influx of electricity imports
exhibited an uptick of 2.1 million kWh, translating to a 24 percent
increase in volumetric metrics, alongside a monetary escalation of
$36,000, reflecting a 14.2 percent enhancement in fiscal
valuation.
In the inaugural month of the preceding year, the importation
metrics for electricity into Azerbaijan registered at 8.6 million
kWh, translating to a fiscal valuation of $254,000.
It is pertinent to highlight that in January of the current fiscal
year, Azerbaijan engaged in the procurement of electrical energy
from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Georgia, and the
Islamic Republic of Iran.
