BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. Smartphone imports
from India to Azerbaijan have sharply declined in January 2025,
with 792 smartphones costing a total of $272,800.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that the number of smartphones imported decreased by 6,341 units,
or 9 times less, compared to the same period last year. The value
of the imports also dropped by $1.24 million, or 5.5 times.
Azerbaijan imported 7,133 smartphones worth $1.5 million from
India in January 2024.
This year, the average price of a smartphone from India was
$344.4. This is $132.2 more, or about 62 percent higher, compared
to the price of $212.1 per smartphone last year.
In total, Azerbaijan imported $26 million worth of smartphones
in January 2025. Around 107,675 units were imported from countries
such as China, India, South Korea, and Vietnam.
