BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Azerbaijan's inflation to gradually increase over the next two years, Trend reports.
According to the latest outlook, the country’s consumer price index (CPI) is forecast to reach 5.7 percent in 2025 and 4.5 percent in 2026. This follows an estimated inflation rate of 2.2 percent in 2024.
Recent national data reflects a similar trend. According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the CPI in February 2025 rose by 5.5 percent compared to February 2024.
This includes a 5.7 percent increase for food, beverages, and tobacco products, 2.7 percent for non-food items, and 7.4 percent for paid services.
