BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. Azerbaijan imported 154,128 smartphones from China from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that the cost of these imports amounted to $41.7 million.
In the interim, the volume of smartphones procured from China
experienced a contraction of 14,777 units, translating to a
decrement of 8.7 percent, while the monetary valuation diminished
by $2.3 million, reflecting a reduction of 5.2 percent, in
juxtaposition to the analogous timeframe in 2024 (168,905
smartphones, $44 million).
Furthermore, the mean valuation per mobile device procured from
China stood at $270.4 throughout the designated reporting interval.
This signifies a surge of $9.7, equating to a 3.7 percent
escalation relative to the corresponding timeframe from the
previous year, during which the mean price was recorded at
$260.7.
It is noteworthy that an aggregate of 183,109 mobile devices, with
a cumulative valuation of $54.2 million, were procured and imported
into Azerbaijan during the period spanning January to February
2025. The procurement of these apparatuses was executed through a
diversified supply chain encompassing regions such as China, India,
South Korea, Georgia, and Vietnam.
