BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22. Azerbaijan exported 8.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to Iran from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
the fiscal inflow generated from these export activities amounted
to $237,700.
In the interim, the quantum of electrical energy dispatched to Iran
escalated by 413,000 kilowatt-hours, reflecting a 5.2 percent
uptick relative to the analogous timeframe from the previous year,
concomitantly yielding a revenue augmentation of $11,700, also
registering a 5.2 percent increment.
In the previous fiscal year, Azerbaijan facilitated the exportation
of 8 million kilowatt-hours of electrical energy to the Islamic
Republic of Iran, thereby accruing a revenue stream amounting to
$226,000 in the initial quarter of the financial cycle.
Moreover, throughout the specified reporting interval, Azerbaijan
facilitated the exportation of 440.4 million kilowatt-hours of
electrical energy to the markets of Russia, Georgia, and Iran, with
a total valuation of $24.4 million.
