TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 22. Uzbekistan's automotive industry produced 122,384 passenger cars (excluding specialized passenger vehicles) from January to April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the National Statistics Committee indicates that this number increased by 7,846 units compared to the same period last year.
Production figures for key models during this period were as follows:
- Cobalt – 44,747 units (up by 7.3 percent year-on-year)
- Damas – 29,955 units (up by 28.9 percent)
- Onix – 15,236 units (up by 31.6 percent)
- Tracker – 14,092 units (down by 18.0 percent)
- KIA – 8,680 units (up by 41.1 percent)
- Chery – 2,773 units (down by 20.6 percent)
- Haval – 2,634 units (an increase of 11.5 times)
- BYD – 4,267 units
Moreover, the output of niche passenger vehicles escalated to 12,983 units, reflecting a significant uptick of 73.8 percent relative to the corresponding timeframe of the previous fiscal year.
