BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Azerbaijan imported 21.7 million kWh of electricity from Russia in the first quarter of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistical Committee shows that the cost of importing this amount of electricity was $679,200.
Compared to the same period last year, electricity import from Russia decreased by 1.6 million kWh (6.9 percent) in volume, but increased by $12,100 (1.8 percent) in value (23.3 million kWh worth $667,100).
A total of 30 million kWh of electricity worth $933,000 was imported from Russia, Georgia and Iran during the mentioned period.
