BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected 151.4 million manat ($89 million) in non-life insurance premiums from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this amount is 10.8 million manat ($6.3 million), or 7.7 percent, higher than the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, non-life insurance payouts totaled 40.3 million manat ($23.7 million), marking a 1.1 million manat ($647,000) or 2.9 percent increase compared to the first quarter of last year.
The insurance premium, ringing in at 588.5 million manat ($346 million), was raked in by insurance companies in Azerbaijan from January through April 2025.
The data shows that this figure grew by 8.4 percent, or 45.7 million manat ($26.9 million), compared to the same period in 2024.
Total insurance payouts reached 231.3 million manat ($136 million) during the same period, reflecting a 10.4 percent rise compared to last year.
