ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 27. The total number of credit institution agencies in Turkmenistan reached 23 as of June 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Turkmenistan reveals that the State Commercial Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, SCBT Turkmenistan, and JSCBT Turkmenbashi each operate one agency, while SCBT Dayhanbank leads with eight agencies spread across the regions. JSCBT Halkbank operates four agencies, all located in Ashgabat. JSCBT Senagat and the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs each have one agency.
Notably, Turkmen-Turk Joint-Stock Commercial Bank maintains a network of seven agencies, with a presence in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces.
In terms of regional distribution, Lebap province hosts the largest number of agencies (10), followed by Ashgabat (3), Dashoguz (4), Balkan (3), Mary (2), and Ahal (1).
The expansion of agencies reflects continued efforts to improve access to banking services across Turkmenistan, particularly in regions with growing demand for financial infrastructure.
