BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 28. The value of construction work carried out by construction enterprises in Baku reached 4.72 billion manat ($2.77 billion) from January through June 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistics Department indicates that this marks a 9.9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Meanwhile, the Khatai district recorded the highest value of construction work during the reporting period, while the Khazar district registered the lowest.

A total of 4 billion manat ($2.3 billion) from all financial sources was allocated to fixed capital for the development of Baku’s economic and social sectors in the first half of 2025, representing a 14.9 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, 2.51 billion manat ($1.47 billion), or 61.6 percent, was spent directly on construction and installation works.
During this period, construction enterprises carried out works with a breakdown of 86.6 percent for construction, reconstruction, and restoration, 6.6 percent for major repairs, 3.5 percent for current repairs, and 3.3 percent for other types of construction.
Non-state construction enterprises accounted for 91.4 percent of all construction works, highlighting the growing role of private companies in Baku’s infrastructure development.
