The average price on Baku car market in October 2018 was 37,796 manats, head of the consulting company MBA Group, expert Nusret Ibrahimov told Trend.
Ibrahimov noted that compared to the previous month, average price on the car market grew by almost 35 percent.
He went on to explain that this is because cars with a small engines are sold and do not remain on the market, but cars with a large engine capacity are not sold and remain on the market.
Therefore, in September the average engine size was 2.5 liters, while it was 4.3 liters in October, he said.
In October 2018, some 1,769 cars were put up for sale on Baku car market, Ibrahimov said.
"Compared to the previous month, the portfolio of proposals on the car market increased by 22 percent. Most of the cars put up for sale - 85 percent - are cars with gasoline engine. Diesel cars accounted for 15 percent," Ibrahimov said.
The expert also noted that the average mileage of cars on the market in October amounted to 84,000 kilometers with a decrease of 45 percent for the month. On average, the production years of cars on the market was 2007, so the age of cars increased by 0.03 percent compared to September.
