The production of cars in Iran decreased by 13 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), compared to the preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to statistics, a total of 831,300 vehicles were produced in the country last Iranian year.
As many as 759,100 cars were produced last Iranian year. This is a decrease of 14.9 percent compared to the preceding year.
Meanwhile, 67,100 pickups were produced, which is an increase of 35.1 percent compared to the preceding year.
According to statistics, 535 buses (a decrease of 6 percent) and 3,250 trucks and trailers were produced (a decrease of 67.2 percent) last Iranian year.
"As many as 217 vans (a decrease of 83.2 percent) and 1,040 minibuses (a decrease of 36.7 percent) were produced last Iranian year," was reported.
During the last month of the last Iranian year (February 20-March 19, 2020), Iran produced 67,300 different vehicles. Production decreased by 17.6 percent compared to the same period of preceding year.
As reported, Iran produced 955,400 different vehicles in the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).
