BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Iran's crude oil output from the Golkhari oil field in the south of the country, is expected to increase by 22,000 barrels per day in the next Iranian year (March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025), Executive Director of Iran’s North Drilling Company Alireza Salmanzadeh said, Trend reports.
Salmanzadeh noted that new operations would increase the output of the Golkhari oil field by 14,000 barrels per day, while repair work would add another 8,000 barrels per day.
He also said that it is planned to drill 13 new wells, repair 2 wells, replace various pumps and pipes, and conduct in-well inspections in the Golkhari oil field.
The director added that 3 wells in the field are estimated to be ready for production in the next month (November 22 through December 21, 2023).
The Golkhari oil field is part of the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, which is a subsidiary of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The field was found in 1978 and currently produces 15,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
