According to him, at present, the visa can only be obtained through the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Moreover, it allows foreigners to live in Kazakhstan for one year.

"The Tax Free system, which operates in many developed countries, is an effective tool for stimulating the purchasing activity of tourists. In Kazakhstan, it was introduced in 2019 in pilot mode in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and Turkestan. Under this system, foreign tourists made purchases worth approximately $10.65 million (4.9 billion tenge). The average transaction amount was about $1,818 (837,000 tenge). This is among the top 10 countries in the world," the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan stated.
In this regard, the Ministry of Tourism proposes to consider transferring the Tax Free system from a pilot to a permanent mode of operation and also to implement it in all regions of the country.
